Schedules and Course Information
The Commission offers a variety of courses to meet officer training needs. Officers must attend a training course each calendar year. The first year an officer wishes to carry a firearm they must complete the Commission’s Basic Firearms Training course (Course 1). During the next calendar year officers must attend a continuing education course as well as re-qualify on the Commission’s qualification course of fire to satisfy their yearly training requirement.
