Constables' Education and Training Board (CETB)
The Commission on Crime and Delinquency, through its Bureau of Training Services, trains and certifies the Commonwealth's elected and appointed constables and deputy constables. Training consists of basic and firearms education, which leads to certification to perform judicial duties and receive payment. Annual Continuing Education training is required to maintain certification.
IMPORTANT NOTE: All 2022 80-Hour
Basic Training Courses are full and we are no longer accepting class payments
for enrollment. The current class sizes cannot be increased and there are
no waiting lists available. If you have not done so, please register in
CCETS so that Program Staff can project the training needs for 2023.
Program Staff will email the current registered CCETS users regarding the
availability of the 2023 80-Hour Basic Training Courses in late November/early
December of 2022, after all 2023 dates have been confirmed. Contact Nick
Hartman at 717-265-8551 with any questions regarding Basic Training.
